How To Give An Older Home A Modern Touch

September 25, 2012

If you’re looking to give your older home a modern touch, you don’t need to remodel the whole thing from the floor up. A couple of touches here and there can make all the difference in the world.

Some new carpeting, painting your walls a new color or just picking out a new oven can make a huge difference.

Hello & Welcome

June 29, 2012

My name is Kirsten and I have a passion for all things Do It Yourself. At home I always find ways to fix things, create things, and change things by hand. Of course there’s a lot of research that goes into DIY projects if you want to do it right!

Since I have done a lot of research myself, and I see there are a lot of others out there that are doing the same, I want to share my knowledge (and yours!). This blog is for not only my writing, but the writing and experiences of others.

This is a blog to share ideas, and to help one other get the job done! Whether it is to improve a home, help out with a new decor plan, or find something fun to do with your kids. Information is out there and it’s our job to create credible and informative articles for those looking!

Guest Post Opportunities

This blog is for all guest post topics, as long as they are How To, Step-By-Step, and of course, DIY. Anyone can submit an article as long as it is informative and of quality writing. I do allow sites to link in their articles; however, they must be relevant to the article they are linking to.

For example, an article about “How To Create Your Own Live Bait Bucket” should link to a fishing site, not to an appliance store website.

All articles will be read and taken into consideration but there is no guarantee your articles will be published. As long as you meet the guidelines, though, you should be golden!

Guidelines:

  • Max of 500 words (unless otherwise negotiated).
  • Quality formatting and writing.
  • Headlines to separate paragraphs.
  • Bullet points used when possible to show lists.
  • Proof read for spelling errors.
  • Must be an informative article.

In exchange for quality content for this blog, I can provide one link in the bio section of each article and mention the site you as the author are writing for. All articles will also be shared over social media networks, and I also ask you do the same (which I hope you would, we want this information out there!)

Stay tuned for the info to flow!
